Privacy Policy

Mozant is operated by Contained, Inc. (“Mozant,” “we,” “us”), a Delaware corporation. This policy explains what we collect when you visit our website or request a demo, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. If anything is unclear, email legal@mozant.com.

Information we collect

Website usage. We use Vercel Analytics to record privacy-friendly aggregated metrics about visits to our site (page views, referrer, country, device class). No cookies are set, no cross-site identifiers are used, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors.

Demo requests. When you request a demo, we collect your name, work email, company name, role, legal team size, and your marketing preferences. These are stored in our database.

Communications. If you email us, we keep the message as part of our correspondence record.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to (a) respond to and schedule your demo, (b) follow up about Mozant and how it could help your team, and (c) send occasional product updates if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

Sub-processors

We use a small set of vendors to operate the service. Each is contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions:

• Turso— managed libSQL database hosting our demo-request data. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt / Ireland region).
• Resend— transactional and product-update email delivery.
• Vercel— website hosting and privacy-friendly aggregated analytics.

Where your data lives

Your demo-request data is stored in the EU. If a sub-processor needs to transfer data outside the EU/UK to operate (for example, email routing), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the sub-processor's own GDPR commitments to keep the level of protection equivalent.

Cookies and tracking

We do not set advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. Vercel Analytics collects only aggregated, cookie-less metrics. Required functional storage (for example, a future signed-in session) will be disclosed before we use it.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest at the storage layer. Access to the production database is restricted to a small number of named operators. We follow the principle of least privilege and review access regularly.

Retention

We keep your demo-request record while we are in contact with you or for up to 24 months of inactivity, whichever comes first, then delete it.

You can shorten this period at any time by contacting legal@mozant.com.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is inaccurate.
• Request deletion of the data we hold about you.
• Restrict or object to certain uses, including marketing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email legal@mozant.com. When you request deletion, we permanently remove your record from our database.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the rights above also satisfy your rights under the CCPA/CPRA: to know what we collect, to delete, to correct, to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” (we do neither), and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. To submit a request, email legal@mozant.com.

Children

Mozant is intended for adult professionals working in in-house legal teams. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact legal@mozant.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we use your data, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Minor clarifications get the date bump only.
